In 2015, Dr. Steven Funk was appointed as the Special Envoy, Film and Digital Arts for the provincial government of British Columbia. With a specific emphasis on the film industry in California, Dr. Funk is working to further enhance the Canadian market presence in the realms of film, television, animation, and visual effects. He supports industry wide marketing activities and facilitates new opportunities for B.C. based producers both domestically and abroad.
